Hi! I’m Stephanie O'Leary, and these are my teaching assistants, Sam and Dave.

I bring 16 years of experience as a registered occupational therapist and 12 years of experience in ergonomics to my corporate and home-based clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. I provide training seminars, ergonomic evaluations, equipment recommendations, program development, and product research and development with an emphasis on people, not equipment.

Before I started 2 Work in Comfort, I was Ergonomic Program Coordinator for America Online West. I am Board Certified as an Associate Ergonomist by the Oxford Research Institute. I have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University and a BA in sociology from the University of Arizona in Tucson. I became interested in Ergonomics in 1990 while running a computer lab for people with paralysis from spinal cord injury and discovered that arranging work around the worker is crucial if you can’t move and also crucial if you can!

In studying balance and alignment during activity, I learned that getting “all bent out of shape” is painful and that working from your center is not only comfortable, but improves creativity, energy, and enjoyment. When not offering tips on posture and equipment, I practice meditation, golf, dancing, and laughing.
